Introduction
In September 2016 a group of Public Health specialists met under the ScotPHN banner to help clarify what should be incorporated into the Public Health response to the Chief Medical
Officer’s report Realistic Medicine.
At that time the workshop was specifically seeking to focus on action “locally and beyond”.
In practice, the workshop spent the majority of its time exploring what shared learning could be identified from what was already happening within NHS Board areas for local action.
