SDsPH Action

The Scottish Directors of Public Health have welcomed the Scottish Government?s report ?2015 Review of Public Health in Scotland: Strengthening the Function and Re-Focussing Action for a Healthier Scotland?.? It is?their job to be the local and national champions for the health of all Scotland?s people, leading the way so that?they can protect, improve health and ensure our health services are best they can be.

Professor Alison Mccallum, Chair of the Scottish Directors of Public health Group said:

?Making Scotland healthier is challenge we all face. This review gives us an opportunity to renew our commitment to working with and for the people of Scotland, as individuals and as communities, improving our health and wellbeing and tackling the sorts of inequality which are often the causes of ill-health?.

The SDsPH will be undertaking strands of work in relation to the recommendations of the PHR report.? Updates on progress made can be found here in due course.
