ScotPHN has undertaken two pieces of work since 2014 on gambling. A literature review on gambling related harm to inform a national project in this area (Allison Thorpe, 2014), and a scoping of what public health in Scotland should do (Michelle Gillies, 2016). Both reports are available on this page.
Arising from the scoping, the need for a national needs assessment has been identified. ScotPHN will seek to prioritise a needs assessment on gambling as part of its routine 3 year work programme. For further details, please contact ScotPHN at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be in touch.
